For the fall edition of Bay View Gallery Night, we are thrilled to once again be hosting our two featured taproom artists: Dawn Carrillo and Terry Tayler! Dawn and Terry will each have a selection of old and new pieces on display in the taproom on and will be on hand to talk about their work and answer any questions folks might have.

We restore old brewery items from Pabst, Blatz, Schlitz, Miller and many more. Over 30k brewery items on display from the old motion signs to chalkware statues and reliefs from 1934. Feature site of The Wisconsin Brewery History Museum.

Heirloom MKE will be hosting a handful of talented artists including a few of its own in-house artists. Featuring: Ryan Laessig (he/him), local Nerd artist, and owner of Milwaukee Makers Market, showcasing work from his MilRAWkee Alt Series, Daniel R Lanza (he/him), Bay View native, specializes in retro video game inspired art, Christine Burke (she/her), specializes in anime & gaming-themed resin art.

Heirloom MKE’s own in-house artists: Paiton Graham (they/them), MATC student, their art is not defined by any singular style, constantly trying new techniques and mediums. Lately, they’ve been experimenting with incorporating different tattooing styles, such as American and Neo-Traditional, into their own work. Joelle Turner (they/them), aka Piikobee, Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design student, .a mixed media artist majoring in illustration while doing stained glass work on the side.

Music by Spud Bucket…sounding in the vein of Tom Petty meets Cracker with a dash of Rockpile, Spud Bucket continues to create fun danceable music. Frontman Tom T, Ronzi on bass, and Chris “Lucky” Lehmann on drums. As well as music, we will have contemporary abstract paintings featured by local artist Kimberly Geszvain.

Enjoy the paintings of Milwaukee artist Christopher Zak, during his first solo show at this charming Bay View business!  Christopher is a graduate of UW Madison, where he studied under artist Fred Stonehouse; both artists will be in attendance, to meet and greet the public! Come to Lion’s Tooth to make comics with Milwaukee cartoonist Quinn Blackshere! Quinn will be showing her work and premiering a brand new comic, while helping the public (you!) make their own strips, to be collected into a community zine. All ages welcome.

Once again, we are proud to showcase the work of our dear friend, Angela DeStefanis. She is bringing a variety of home decor objects of concrete, wood, fiber, and paintings, sometimes all mixed together. We will also have samplings of our Italian food products (Say Cheeeese!) and specials on wine and beer.

Rachael Gonzalez is a multimedia artist, bodyworker, plant worker and folkways educator based in Milwaukee, WI. Her work is locally known by the monicker FAMILIAR (@familiar_mke). Rachael’s art is made in collaboration with nature; utilizing sunlight, spring water, paint stones, beeswax, broomcorn, wood and other natural materials to explore themes inspired by old ways of healing, connection, and animism. For this gallery night, Rachael will share a variety of works made over this summer, culminating in a celebration of the harvest season through cyanotypes, sculptural power objects, silverpoint drawings and paintings. In celebration of ‘The Art School’s 10th Anniversary in Bay View,’ join us for a monumental faculty art exhibition! Showcasing the impressive oil paintings and ink drawings of our co-founder instructors: Lisa Pilarski & Andy Pilarski, this exhibition offers exciting insight into the personal studio practices of our teachers. On exhibit will be Victoria Bernd’s watercolor and pencil art inspired by music and nature, and the stories they tell her. Alongside Victoria Bernd, Jak Walter will display his nature photography, and an eclectic mix of original illustrations.

‘The Gallery’ on the second floor at SAGE restaurant in the historic White House, features the work of three local artists in residence. Work displayed by Eli Rosenblatt, Morgyn Stranahan, & Chad Hallblade.
